Daniel P. O’Neil, 35, of Dorchester formerly of Mansfield died unexpectedly on Friday December 22, 2006 at his home.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 23, 1971 he was a loving son of Stella H. (Mackinlay) O’Neil of Mansfield and William S. O’Neil of Onset.
He was raised in Mansfield and was a 1989 graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro. He went on to become a 1993 graduate of Western New England College in Springfield.
Dan was a current student at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston where he was enrolled in the Radiology Program. He was also currently working in the Emergency Room at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. An avid backpacker, Dan had traveled to Paris, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and South America. He was a true New England sports fan. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar and spending time with his loving family and his many friends. He had lived in Dorchester for the past 3 years and had formerly lived in Santa Monica, California and his hometown of Mansfield.
In addition to his loving parents he is survived by his devoted brother Christopher W. O’Neil and his fiancé Katherine Lynch of Attleboro. His dear aunt Mary Jane Jacques and her husband Joseph of Lakeville. His loving cousins Renee Jacques of Dorchester and Kyle Jacques of Reading. Also survived by his many friends.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday December 27th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 26th from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
