NORTH GRAFTON___Eleanor E. (Plona) Orasy, 84, formerly of Worcester passed away Tuesday, December 19, in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, Westborough.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, John A. Orasy, a son John R. Orasy and his wife Kathy, a daughter Nancy Padula and her husband James, all of Grafton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Cecelia Plona. She was born in Clinton, a daughter of Giddeon and Josephine (Baldyga) Plona and lived in Worcester before coming to North Grafton in 1955.
Eleanor attended St. Mary’s High School, Worcester and was a member of their first graduating class. She was a former member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester, and the Polish American Veterans of World War II, Auxiliary. Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother through out her life.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 22, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
