FALL RIVER … Leo O. Vaillancourt, 95, of Fall River died unexpectedly, Friday, December 15, 2006.
He was born in Fall River a son of the late Alphonse and Elsie (Dube) Vaillancourt and had been a life long resident of Fall River.
He died at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.
He was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 529 Eastern Ave., Fall River.
Mr. Vaillancourt was the former owner and operator of Vaillancourt’s Variety Store, 696 Eastern Ave., Fall River. He was also formerly employed by the former Alpert Brother’s Wholesalers, North Main Street, Fall River.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marie Vaillancourt, Joseph Vaillancourt, Adelard Vaillancourt, Emma Vaillancourt, Emile Vaillancourt, Omer Vaillancourt, Blanche Sturart, Imelda Vaillancourt, and Anna.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street (508-672-0291) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 529 Eastern Ave., Fall River. Calling hours Tuesday 8:30 – 9:30 AM. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Faxon Animal Rescue League, 474 Durfee St., Fall River, MA 02720.
