
Regis J. Pleva, 80, of Alliance Way, Manchester, NH died Wednesday October 2, 2002 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester. He was born in Natrona, PA on March 22, 1922, a son of the late Joseph and Casmira (Mrozinski) Pleva. He was a resident of Manchester for six years, formerly living in Peabody, MA for 31 years. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a US Army WWII veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a retired civilian personnel officer for the federal government in Boston, MA. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and AARP. He enjoyed photography, gardening, golf, history and tracing geneology.
He is survived by his wife Caroline (Capece) Pleva, Manchester, one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Anne) Burns, Wilmington, MA two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth (Smith) Pleva, Londonderry, NH, David and Maura (Doherty) Pleva, Pelham, NH, eight grandchildren, Lawrence, Deanna and Sean Burns, of Wilmington, MA, Daniel Pleva, of Londonderry, Sara, Katie, Justin, and Stephen Pleva, of Pelham, one sister Joanne Stramella, of Ellwood, PA, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held Sunday October 6th at 2:00pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
