LEICESTER: Rosita (Far) Israelian, of 819 Pleasant Street in the Rochdale
section of Leicester, died Tuesday, Dec. 12 in St. Vincent Hospital.
Her husband Charles A. "Buddy" Israelian died in 1999. She leaves two
daughters Kathy A. Israelian-Fleming and her husband David W. Fleming and
Nancy A. Doyle and her husband Timothy all of Rochdale, two brothers Vincent
J. Far and his wife Pat of Shelburne, VT and Robert A. Far and his wife
Sheila of Redding, CT, three nephews S. Craig Far, Christian H. Far and
Alexander R. Far, two nieces Felicia F. Far and Victoria B. Far, and her
lifelong dear friend Marion Merola of East Brookfield. She is predeceased
by her brother Larry Far.
Mrs. Israelian was born in Worcester the daughter of Hilario and
Josephine (Taverner) Far.
She graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and Becker Junior
College in Worcester. She was a longtime volunteer for the Leicester FISH
program. She worked for many years at the Leicester town elections and once
served as clerk for the Board of Health. She enjoyed her homes on Cape Cod
and Rochdale and vacationing in Florida.
A Funeral Service will be Saturday, Dec. 16 at 10:00 AM in Christ
Episcopal Church, 1089 Stafford Street, Rochdale. Burial will follow in
Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00-6:00 PM in
MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. In lieu of
donations memorial donations may be made to Melanoma Research Fund, c/o Dr.
