Modestino “Modo” Iannaco, died this morning at the Mass General Hospital, in Boston, after a extended illness.The husband of the late Lena (Marzano). He was Ninety-one years old.
Born and raised in Boston he was the son of the late Grace and Vincent Iannaco.
“Modo” as he was known to his friends and family, was the former Plant Manager and later became a sales representative for Granada Wines. He was a member of Local 25 and the Knights of Columbus, Ausonia Council of Boston. He also owned and operated Harvard Liquor Store of Medford before his retirement.
He is survived by his two sons; Robert and his wife Mary Ann of Winchester, and Richard and his wife Rita of Woburn. Also five loving grandchildren and two loving great grandchildren. A brother Alphonse “Dickie” Iannaco of Medford.
Along with his wife Lena he was predeceased by two brothers; Ralph Iannaco and Armando "Eddie Pal" Iannaco.
His funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Saturday, October 5, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebarated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 45 Alewife Brook Parkway, Cambridge at 10.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Friday fro 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with Entombment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
