METHUEN – Maurice L. Auclair, age 85 of Methuen died with his loving family at his bedside on Thursday December 7, 2006 at Salem Haven Nursing Home in Salem, NH following a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 6, 1921 in Methuen, MA, son of the late Arthur and Cecile (Bourgeois) Auclair. Raised and eduated in Methuen, he graduated high school from Mary Knoll Seminary, and later earned an associated degree from Lowell Technological Institute. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged. Maurice worked in the manufacturing industry for the majority of his life, completing his career, with 13 years of service as a supervisor with CR Bard in Billerica, MA.
He loved all types of music, playing the violin and piano. He enjoyed photography, dancing, reading, gardening and woodworking. Spending time with his family was among his favorite things in the world.
Maurice was the widower of Josphine (Power) Auclair, and Jane B. (Michaud) Auclair. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna, (Auclair) Howard sisters Jeannette Courtemanche, Germaine Blois, Marcelle Jehle, and brother Arthur Auclair. Survivors include his loving children, Richard and his wife Sarah of Westfield, MA, Kenneth of Quincy, MA, Douglas and his wife Lisa of Weymouth, MA, Laurie and her husband Jim Healey of Salem, NH, Lynne and her husband Michael Rosentrater of Newtown, CT.

Grandchildren, Gregory, Kathleen, Elizabeth, David, Nicole, Christopher, Ashley, A.J., Brendan, Lindsay, Alex and Taylor.
7 great-grandchildren, 5 stepchildren and 9 step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may call on Monday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00a.m. at the First Church Congregational in Methuen, MA. Burial will take place at the convenenience of the family.
