Gloria May (Folger) Jackson 81, of West Newton formerly of Newton Upper Falls died on Saturday December 9, 2006 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. Born in Boston, Gloria had been a resident of Newton for 76 years. She grew up in Newton Upper Falls and moved to West Newton in 1955. Gloria was the Librarian at the Museum of National Heritage in Lexington for 17 years before she retired in 1990. She was very active in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and had been a member there since childhood. Gloria was the beloved wife for 56 years of G. Warren Jackson. Loving mother of Deborah A Jackson -May of Yorktown Heights, NY, Marsha L. Savilonis of Natick and Judith B. Kyparissoudas of West Newton. Dear grandmother of Ashley Savilonis, Aviva May, Benjamin May, Eleni Kyparissoudas, Evan Kyparissoudas, Rebecca May and Vanessa McGrath. Gloria is also survived by her many dear cousins, her extended family and her loving and dear friends. Funeral Services at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church 838 Mass Ave (Central Square) Cambridge on Wed. December 13th at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Interment Newton Cemetery.
