Andrade Of Florida formerly of New Bedford, Thursday December 7th, Joseph, 62, beloved husband of Gorette (Brum) Andrade; loving father of Stephanie Palmer of Conway, SC and Craig Andrade of Myrtle Beach, SC. Brother of John Andrade of Rockland, Maria Lopes of Kingston, Dulcineia DeFaria of Hanover and Ulysses Andrade of Rockland. He was the grandfather of McKenna, Nathan and Sabrina Palmer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 11th at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00 A.M. in the Holy Family Church, Union Street, Rockland. Joseph Andrade, 62, formerly of Rockland and New Bedford died Thursday December 7th at Oak Hill Hospital, Florida. He was the husband of Gorette (Brum) Andrade.
Born in Portugal he was a son of the late Jose Faria and Inez (Neves) Andrade.
He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War.
Joseph attended Bridgewater State College where he attained his Masters Degree, and retired as Area Director of the Department of Employment and Training.
He was a former member and past president of the Ideal Club of East Bridgewater and loved gardening, golf, theatre, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Stephanie Palmer of Conway, SC and a son Craig Andrade of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers John and Ulysses Andrade both of Rockland and two sisters Maria Lopes of Kingston and Dulcineia Defaria of Hanover, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
