DUDLEY– Krystyna M. (Blaut) Jurkiewicz, 56, of 25 Oxford Avenue, died Tuesday, December 5, in the Transitional Care Unit at Hubbard Regional Hospital after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 32 years, Josef J. Jurkiewicz; a son, Staff Sargeant,Rafal M. Jurkiewicz,USMC, of South Carolina; her mother, Helena (Copek) Blaut; a brother, Pawel Blaut; a sister, Urszula Duzy all of Poland; 2 grandsons, Jacob Jurkiewicz and Victor Jurkiewicz. She was predeceased by her son, Artur J. Jurkiewicz, who died in 1997.
Mrs. Jurkiewicz was born in Wesola, Poland, a daughter of Leon Blaut. She has lived in Dudley since 1994.
She worked in several jobs in Poland before moving here and becoming the cook and housekeeper for the Saint Andrew Bobola Rectory.
She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Parish in Dudley.
The funeral will be held Friday, December 8, 2006, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will from 8:00 to 9:15 AM Friday, December 8, in the funeral home.
