John B. Allen, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 5 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Services will be private.
Mr. Allen was born January 1, 1926, in Pickens, South Carolina to the late John B. and Rachel Earl Allen. He lived in the community for the past three years and was a former resident of Elberton for many years. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Elberton. Mr. Allen served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Church Of God faith and he loved horses.
Mr. Allen is survived by his daughter & son-in-law: Wyona & Andres Diego of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Britney Fant, Abalene Diego, Santiago Diego, Cody Maxwell, Cory Maxwell, and Jasmine Maxwell; great-grandchildren: Marianna Hernandez, Victoria Hernandez.
