Abilio E. Veloso, age 71 of Medford MA, died Monday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford, after a brief illness.
Born in Minho, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Esteves) Veloso. Mr. Veloso married Rose Marie T. (Palazzolo) Veloso in 1958.He was the Chief Food Purchasing Agent at the Ritz Carleton of Boston from 1958 to his retirement in 1983. Mr. Veloso was also a merchant Marine from 1947 to 1958 traveling all over the world.
He is survived by his wife Rose Marie T. (Palazzolo) Veloso. His son Joseph M., daughter Marie N. Veloso. One loving grandson Robert J., all of Medford. One brother Antonio Veloso of Portugal and his nephew Jose Veloso of Medford.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
