Catherine was born in Cambridge, MA the daughter of the late Catherine (Donahue) and George Martel. She was the Assistant Deli Manager for Market Basket working in the Londonderry and Salem stores. She had previously worked in the Salem School Dept.
Catherine was a member of the First Congregational Church in Salem, NH where she served as Hospitality Minister and was a member of the Philathea Women's Guild. She was an active member in the Red Hat Society and the Windham Women’s Club both in Windham, NH and a member of the Rockingham County Christian Women's Connection. Catherine volunteered at the Searles Castle in Windham for many years. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and volunteering, organizing many coat and food drives over the years.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert Edward Klufts, Jr. and her brother George Martell, Jr and her sister Theresa Kearns.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
