Obituary

James R. Taylor, 64, of Fitzgerald died Friday, December 1 at Dorminy Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 4 PM Tuesday, December 5, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Kitchens officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday evening.

Mr. Taylor was born March 20, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late James W. and Maxine Smith Taylor. He lived in the community for the past nine months from Hampstead, Maryland. Mr. Taylor was a heavy equipment operator in road construction. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. Mr. He was a member of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles, a member of a car club and he was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife: Darlene “TuTu” Taylor of Fitzgerald; children: Chucky Brown of Pasadena, MD, Dora Beam of Severna Park, MD, Kevin Brown of Glen Burnie, MD, Linda Bohle of Marydale, MD, Warren Brown of Severna Park, MD, Darlene Johns of Hagerstown, MD, Dawn Drisgill of Hershey, PA and Russell Riley of Fitzgerald; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
