Doris M. (Gagnon) Ouellette, 90, of Bethel, Maine formerly of Norton died on Thursday November 30, 2006 at Stephen’s Memorial Hospital in Norway, Maine. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Ouellette who died on June 6, 1989.
Born in Lowell, MA on April 2, 1916 she was a loving daughter of the late Peter J. and Rose D. (Cyr) Gagnon.
She was educated in Haverhill schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Mrs. Ouellette served her family as a loving homemaker.
Doris was a communicant of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Bethel and was a former longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton where she was also a member of the Catholic Women’s Club. She was a member of the Seniors Coalition in Bethel.
She enjoyed crocheting and craft making. She had lived in Bethel for the past 10 years and was formerly of Norton for 49 years.
Doris is survived by her devoted son David P. Ouellette and his wife Pauline of Bethel, Maine. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Bernice Gagnon, the late Rose Blanche Smith and her twin sister the late Dorothy M. Gagnon.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday December 4th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, South Worcester St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 3rd from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
