Accaputo of Brockton and Pompano Beach, Florida, November 29, 2006 Raffaella "Fannie" (Rago) Accaputo, 87 years. Wife of the late Anthony "Scotty" Accaputo. Devoted mother of Anthony Accaputo, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. and Barbara Gallagher and her husband Larry of Stoughton. Grandmother of Daria Accaputo, Jennifer Patterson and Jessica Nordland all of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl, Jennifer Roan of Bridgewater, Donald Locchi of Lubbock, TX, Lisa Mendicina of Waltham and Lauren Gallagher of Framingham. Great grandmother of seven. Sister of Theresa Rago of Boston and Angelo Rago of Somerville.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Fannie may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Obituary

Raffaella “Fannie” (Rago) Accaputo, 87 years, died at BayPointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Alphonso and Nunziata (DelPriore) Rago. She was raised and educated in the North End of Boston and had been a resident of Brockton for the past 35 years, previously living in the North End. She left High School to work in the garment industry and had worked for several manufacturers in the Boston area. Mrs. Accaputo retired as vice president of manufacturing for Forecaster of Boston. She was proud to have received her high school diploma at the age of 43 from East Boston High School and she had also been a proud member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. As a union member she rode the bus to Selma Alabama to assist in the voter registration drives. For the past 20 years Mrs. Accaputo enjoyed spending her winters in Pompano Beach, Florida where she taught and played Mah Jong. She had been a member of St. Edward Church, Brockton.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Accaputo, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. and a daughter, Barbara Gallagher and her husband Larry of Stoughton, her seven grandchildren, Daria Accaputo, Jennifer Patterson and Jessica Nordland all of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl, Jennifer Roan of Bridgewater, Donald Locchi of Lubbock, TX, Lisa Mendicina of Waltham and Lauren Gallagher of Framingham and seven great grandchildren, her sister, Theresa Rago of Boston and a brother Angelo Rago of Somerville and many nieces and nephews.
She was the late wife of the late Anthony "Scotty” Accaputo
