Obituary

AUBURN____Donna (Abramavicius) Murphy, 50, of 9 Elizabeth Dr., died Thursday Sept. 26 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, 119 Belmont St., Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 27 years, William J. Murphy; two sons, Curtis W. and Andrew J. Murphy both of Auburn; two brothers Vito Abramowicz of Melbourne, Florida and Zenus Abramavicius of Northbridge; a sister, Alka Abramavicius of Auburn and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Poland, daughter of Vitas and Anele (Gurevicius) Abramavicius and came to Worcester in 1964. She had lived in Auburn since 1978.

Mrs. Murphy was a cosmetic dept. clerk several months for Sears & Roebuck Co., and was also a warehouse clerk there. Several years ago she was a clerk in the claims division of Aetna Life and Casualty Co., and worked there for 15 years.

She was graduated from North High School and Quinsigamond Community College both in Worcester.

Mrs. Murphy was a member of St. Josephs Church in Auburn and was a member of the Lithuanian Charitable Society and the Lithuanian Scouts.

The funeral will be held on Monday Sept. 30, from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimirs Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday Sept. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Foundation, Radiation Oncology Program, 1 Lincoln Square, 15 Belmont St., Worcester, 01605.
