Grace May Stevens Emerson, ”Nana”, 90, a longtime resident of Hampstead, NH, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Emerson was born in Dover, NH on October 27, 1916, a daughter of the late Frank B. and Alice (Perkins) Stevens. She is lovingly remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who always put her family before herself, always willing to give of her time and love.
She is survived by her husband Glendon with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage on Nov. 15, 2006, five children, Glenda Blomquist and her husband Robert of Baltimore, MD, Barbara McGrath and her husband David of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Richard Emerson and his wife Carole, Neil Emerson and his wife Sandra and Nancy Zwearcan and her husband Walter, all of Hampstead, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, a sister, Martha Carberry of Dover, a brother, Frank Stevens of Rochester, NH, her former son in law and friend, William Komenda of Sandown, NH and her loving caregiver, Jackie Malandrino. She was predeceased by three brothers, Harvey, Dana and Harold Stevens.
There are no visiting hours. Following cremation a private graveside service will he held in the Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead.
