Residence 1607 Read St., Somerset. Died Sunday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River. Daughter of the late Herculano Fernandes and the late Caroline (Almeida). Step-Daughter of the late William F.Almeida. She was a Somerset resident since 1949. She was a retired sewing machine operator. She also had worked in the Providence Shipyard during WWII and she had been a clerk at the former Parisian Dress Store in Fall River. She was a member of St. John of God Parish.
She is survived by One Son: Paul M. Tavares of Somerset. One Daughter: Joanne(Tavares)Napert of Fall River. 6 Grandchildren: Edward, Scott & Brock Napert, Deborah Boyd, Gary & Russell Tavares & 7 Great Grandchildren.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday with a service in the funeral home at 9 A.M. Visitation 8-9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 P.M.
