SPENCER____Walter Orczyk, 90, of 1 Robin Rd., formerly of 81 Blithewood Ave.., Worcester, died Thursday November 16 in Life Care Center of Auburn. His wife of 52 years, Anna (Cofsky) Orczyk died in 1987.
He leaves a daughter, Shirley Scott and her husband Joseph of Spencer; a grandson, Michael Chauvin and his wife Ellen of Spencer; a brother, Chester Orczyk of Worcester; a sister, Helen F. Zimkiewicz of Worcester; nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces and step grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, George, two grandsons, Christopher and Stephen, two brothers, Stanley and Henry and a sister, Sophie Karpawich. He was born in Worcester, a son of Joseph and Frances (Wisniewski) Orczyk.
Mr. Orczyk was the meat department manager for the former Supreme Market in Worcester. He worked there 40 years and retired in 1978. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Worcester.
The funeral will be held on Monday November 20 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday November 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
