Tiverton, RI - Elizabeth “Betsy” (Hudson) Ahearn, 59, of Westport Point passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, November 16, 2006. She was wife of Michael A. Ahearn.
Born in Brockton, MA, daughter of Louise (Suffern) Devlin of Fall River and the late James F. Hudson, she was a lifelong summer resident of Westport Point, becoming a permanent resident in 2000. Mrs. Ahearn was a vestry member of St. Andrews by the Sea Church, Little Compton and a member of the Greater Tiverton Community Chorus. She was an avid horticulturist, gardener and antique restorer, but most of all she was dedicated to her children.
Including her husband and mother, she is survived by 2 sons: Peter C. Lowe of New York and Matthew J. Lowe of Westport Point; a daughter: Sarah A. Lowe of South Carolina; stepfather: Edward Devlin of Fall River; 2 brothers: James Hudson of Westport Point and Robert Hudson of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home from 5 - 8 P.M.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 25, 2006 at St. Andrews by the Sea Episcopal Church, 182 Willow Ave., Little Compton, RI at 2:00 P.M.
