Mary L. Mahan, 76, of Haverhill Road, Chester, NH died Wednesday September 25, 2002 at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a brief illness. She was born in Lynn, MA on June 19, 1926, a daughter of the late John J. and Alice J. (Quillin) Dineen. She had resided in Chester for more than 30 years, formerly living in Lynn, Ma.
She is survived by three sons, Bryan B. (wife Sandra) Mahan, St. Augustine, FL, John D. Mahan, Laconia, NH, James C. Mahan, Chester, NH, one daughter, Mary E. Mahan, Center Barnstead, NH, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Tarbox, Kingston, NH, Kathleen Dineen, Fridley, Minn., numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bryan C. Mahan, one son Thomas J. Mahan, and her brother, John J. Dineen.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, a private memorial gathering will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH is handling the arrangements.
