Sylvia (Sorocka) Krentzman, a Chelsea resident for over 50 years, died on November 11, 2006 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. She was 88 years old.
Born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Morris and Ida (Gedansky) Sorocka, Mrs. Krentzman was raised and educated in Lynn, graduating from Lynn Classical High School. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Krentzman was a member of Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea and their Sisterhood.
Wife of the late Leon Krentzman, she is survived by her daughters, Carol Ginsburg and her husband Steven of New York and Joyce Rosenstein of Boston. She was the grandmother of Marjorie Ginsburg Paone, Matthew Robert Rosenstein, and the late Charles Samuel Ginsburg and the great-grandmother of Charley Sheridan Paone.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue (Cary Sq.) CHELSEA on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 3:00 PM. Burial will be in the Chelsea Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Laurie and Avram Hammer, Marblehead following the burial and on Tuesday until 4:00 PM.
