Rosamond Oliver, 91, of New Bedford died September 22, 2002 at Taber Street Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Garrison L. and Ethel F. (Saxon) Oliver.
Miss Oliver was born in New Bedford, and had lived in Boston and New York for several years before returning to live in New Bedford in 1968.
She was a former member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.
Miss Oliver was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse in New York and New Bedford for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include 5 brothers, Hubert V. Oliver and Donald F. Oliver, both of New Bedford, David F. Oliver of West Palm Beach, FL, Eugene R. Oliver of Swansea and Philip E. Oliver of Boston; 3 sisters, Muriel Simpson of Mt. Vernon, New York, Sylvia Nunnally of New Bedford, and Barbara Stafford of New Paris, Ohio; a grandson, Jaret W. Thornton of Glassboro, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Beverly E. Wilson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordTuesday, September 24th at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Monday, September 23rd from 4-7 PM.
