Lou Belle Walker Thompson, 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died on Wednesday, November 8 at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM, Friday, November 10 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Rev. Ronnie Griner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born October 31, 1919, in Irwin County, Georgia to the late William Cleveland and Carrie Lou Johnston Walker. She was a homemaker and lived in the community all of her life.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son: Jerald Eugene Thompson of Fitzgerald; long-time friend and companion: James Stanley Biggers of Fitzgerald; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters: Mary Ann Bailey of Fitzgerald, Clarice Aycock of Albany and Irene Kicklighter of Warner Robins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovid Lloyd Thompson and a daughter, Carolyn Thompson Revels.
