Laconia-Rita Wilemena Jacques, 73, of 175 Blueberry Lane, formerly of 25 Union Avenue, died Tuesday morning, November 7th, 2006 at Laconia Center-Genesis Healthcare after a brief illness.
Rita was born in Laconia on February 2nd, 1933, the daughter of the late Henry and Yvonne (Belliveau) Jacques and had been a lifelong resident.
Rita’s life was devoted taking care of others. She cared for many children in her home throughout her life, and was the final caregiver to her parents. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Rita is survived by her brother, Robert Jacques of Laconia; two nieces, Helen Baker of Gilmanton, and Carol Jacques of Utah; one great-niece, Teena Roberts of Laconia; and one great-nephew, Timothy Baker, Jr. of Gilmanton.
A graveside service was held at the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia on Monday, November 13th, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps, pastor of Sacred Heart Church officiated. Family and friends were invited to attend. There were no visiting hours.
