Timothy “Tim” Lachapelle, 45 , died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at RI Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Patti (Schnell) Lachapelle and "Papa" to Buddy and Becca.
Tim graduated from Smithfield High School in 1978 and CCRI in 1999. He was a Registered Nurse and a Certified Emergency Room Nurse specializing in Oncology. Tim had worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Providence for the past 5 years. He was a Certified Facillitator of the Dynamic Marriage Class through Family Dynamics Inc. Tim was an active member of the RI Church of Christ, an organ donor and a devoted fan of the Patriots and Red Sox. He was addicted to Fly Fishing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, Leo and Delores Lachapelle of Greenville, siblings, JoAnn Warren of North Kingstown, Beverly Vallee of Smithfield, Karen Conlon of Brewer, ME, Mark Lachapelle of Crestview, FL, and Sandra McCloskey of Johnston.
A service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held on his birthday, Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 6pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI 02828. Visitation Tuesday 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to TrY CAPS, Creative Art and Problem Solving Program, P.O. Box 3308-09, Providence, RI 02909.
