Obituary

Domenic F. Allegrini 77, of Wrentham and a former Franklin resident died Saturday October 28, 2006 at Caritas Norwood Hospital, where he had been a patient for several days.
Born in New York City, May 6, 1929 a son of the late Genaro and Mary (DiCecco) Allegrini he was raised and educated in Franklin, and lived here for most of his live before moving to Wrentham 20 years ago.
Until his retirement, Mr. Allegrini had been employed as a stone setter at the former Plainville Stock Co., in Plainville, MA.
During the Korean Conflict, he served in the US Army, stationed in Germany, he attained the rank of Private First Class. He was awarded the Army Occupation Medal (Germany) and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in March of 1953.
He was a member of the Wrentham Senior Citizens, The American Association of Retired Persons and was a talented artist. His work can be seen in oil, watercolor, and charcoal sketchings . He was also a lover of nature.
He is survived by 2 brothers Jerry Allegrini of Franklin and John A. Allegrini of Douglas, 2 nieces and several aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with military honors Thursday November 2, 2006 at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. at 10AM. Rev. David Marcham, parochial vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Franklin will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours are Wednesday November 1, 2006 from 3-5PM at the funeral home.
