Julia Takacs Kish, formerly of 251 Drozdyk Drive, Groton and Rochelle Park, NJ, died Thursday at Fairview Nursing Home.
She was born August 15, 1913, the daughter of George and Barbara (Kis) Takacs and was married to Stephen O. Kish on July 4, 1941. He died on September 24, 1998.
Julia loved to cook, take care of her plants and walk outdoors, and visit with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Kish Martin of Niantic, her grandson James Stephen Martin as well as nieces and nephews in NJ, TX and PA. She is predeceased by brothers George Takacs, Steve Takacs, and Frank Takacs; sisters Elizabeth Gardocki and Kathleen Gaffney.
Services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Fairview Odd Fellows Home, 235 Lestertown Road, Groton CT 06340.
