Obituary

Edwin H. Tabbutt, 68, died Thursday, November 2, 2006. His wife, Joan M. (Loughnane) Tabbutt died in 1993. He is survived by his son, Shawn M. Tabbutt of Worcester and two daughters, Maryellen Tabbutt of Worcester and Jennifer A., wife of Edward Prokopowich of Barre; two sisters, Elizabeth Munzert of Cape Coral, FL and Mary E. Woods of Fort Myers, FL; 13 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Leominster, son of Edwin H. and Dorothy (Armstrong) Tabbutt. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and Quinsigamond Community College. Edwin was a Worcester Police Officer, having served as a patrolman for 21 years and as a detective for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Worcester Police Patrol and the Worcester Police Union. He was an avid golfer, loved fishing, woodcarving, and reading and was a loving father and grandfather.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. There will be a service at 7 p.m. following the calling hours.
