Lillian M. Tuttle, 81, of Mineral Spring Gardens in North Providence and Scituate, died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the wife of the late William H. Tuttle, Jr. and Henry N. Knight, Sr. and beloved companion of the late Joseph H. Quinlan who died this past March.
Born in Providence, daughter of the late Felix and Donalda (Alarie) Lessard. She lived in North Providence since 1981.
She was a unit secretary at Fatima Hospital, including the Cardiology Department, for 10 years until retiring. She was a five year volunteer at TriTown Community Food Bank. She was a member of the American Legion Aux., Unit 56 for 20 years. Fleet Reserve, Unit 132 for 20 years, the Ladies Aux. VFW 2339, and a member of the Mineral Spring Garden’s Association.
She was the cherished mother of Kathleen L. Bianchi and her husband Ron, of North Scituate, and Henry N. Knight, Jr. and his wife Janice of Glocester. Also survived by her brother, George J. Lessard of Scituate, 2 granddaughters, Lory Willis and Heidi Jackson and four great grandchildren. She also leaves a son Kenneth R. Knight of Foster. She was the sister of the late Blanche Shurtleff, Irene Morrissette, Aurora Richards, Loretta Verdi, Florence Abrahamson, Corrinne Wahl, Claire Chapdelaine, Julie Cournoyer and Theresa Roberts, Joseph, Arthur, Alcide, and Albert Lessard.
Funeral Thursday at 9:00am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial will in Highland Park. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.
