Sawyer of Brockton October 28, 2006 Christopher A. Sawyer 24 years. Loving son of Wendell A. and Cathy A. (Wetterholm) Sawyer of Brockton. Inspirational brother of Keri A. Sawyer of Brockton. Beloved grandson of Arthur and Lorraine (Jewell) Sawyer and Paul G. and the late Ruth A. (Bassett) Wetterholm all of Brockton. Chris also leaves his cousins Brendan, Sally and Patrick Creedon and Mark Wetterholm.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9 am. Funeral Service in Our Lady of Lourdes Church 439 West St., Brockton at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary Information

Christopher A. Sawyer died Saturday morning at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston after a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was born and raised in Brockton, son of Wendell A. and Cathy A. (Wetterholm) Sawyer. Chris was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 2000, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Concert Orchestra. He was also a member of the golf team, captain of the tennis team and performed in the annual high school musicals. He was a 2004 graduate of Syracuse University where he was a member of the crew team, dance works production and was also one of the school mascots “Otto the Orangeman.” He was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Following his graduation he was the Brockton Rox Mascot K.O. He then was mascot and also coordinator for fan development for the Indiana Ice semi pro hockey team.

At the time of his illness he was a sales representative for WB Mason in Philadelphia, a job he truly enjoyed. For many summers he worked for the Brockton School Department and Westside Pizza. He enjoyed being a Disc Jockey, had been a professional dancer and worked at Manhatten Express.

In addition to his parents Chris is survived by his sister Keri A. Sawyer of Brockton, four cousins, several aunts and uncles and his grandparents.
