LOWELL—Rafael Ortiz, Jr., 36 years old, a resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, October 22nd, at a home in Lawrence. He was the husband of Gloria Rodriguez, of Lowell, who survives him.
He was born in Woburn, on November 14, 1969, a son of Rafael Ortiz and Luz H. Colon, both of Puerto Rico. He was educated in Puerto Rico.
Mr. Ortiz had been employed as an automobile mechanic.
Surviving him are his six children: Jose Rosado, Diana Rosado, Oscar Rivera, Jose Santiago, Rafael Ortiz, III, and Juan Carlos Ortiz, all of Lowell; four sisters: Maria S. Rivera, of Orlando, FL; Maria L. Ortiz, Maribel Ortiz, and Joanna Ortiz, all of Lowell; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 26th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His funeral service to be held on Friday at 10 AM the funeral home.
