Lillian I. (Lewis) Nunes, 85, of Oriskany Falls, NY died October 19, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital in Utica, NY after a brief illness.
She was the widow of the late Antone J. Nunes.
Born in Skowhegan, Maine, the daughter of the late Joseph and Isabel (Sherman) Lewis, she lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth, and had lived in Utica, New York the last 15 years.
Mrs. Nunes was formerly employed by J. I. Paulding for several years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, William J. Nunes, and his wife Margaret, of New Bedford; 3 daughters, Pauline Brightman of Fairhaven, Antonette Jones, and her husband George, of Dartmouth, and Suzanne Almond, and her boyfriend Jim McGowan, of Oriskany Falls, New York; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Patricia Drumheiser and the grandmother of the late George Jones, III.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 23rd at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday, October 22nd from 7-9 PM.
