TEWKSBURY - Edward A. Nies, 40, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Sept 14, at hisTewksbury home, from an apparent heart attack. He was the husband of Pamela J. (Duffy) Nies,with whom he had celebrated a 8th wedding anniversary this past May 14th.
He was born in Waltham, Aug. 21, 1962, a son of Edward A. Nies Sr. and Carole (Kaminski)Nies who reside in Las Vegas, NV. He attended Waltham public schools, and had lived inWilmington, before moving to Tewksbury last year.
He was employed as a salesman for Hill Fence Company in Tewksbury, and was also a dealer forthe rock band “Kiss” memorabilia. He was an enthusiastic member of the Kiss Army, and wasalso a New England Patriots fan.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by one daughter, Mackenzie M. Nies of Tewksbury, asister and brother-in-law, Donna and her husband Richard Laferriere of Framingham, one brotherBruce Nies of Waltham, his maternal grandmother, Doris (Gamlin) Kaminski of Las Vegas, hisfather-in-law, Paul J. Duffy of Woburn, three nieces and nephews, Matthew Whalen, BrandiNies, and godson Nicholas Laferriere, his best friend Bob Cincotta of Liecester, and numerousaunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Sept. 18, in St. William’s Church. Following cremation, interment will be private.
