Hermano DePina Vieira, 28, of New Bedford, died November 29, 2001 unexpectedly at home.
He was the son of Maria F. (Miguel) Bartee, and her husband Archie Stanley Bartee, of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Hermano DePina of New Bedford.
Mr. DePina was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of his life.
He was employed as a laborer in the fish processing industry in New Bedford.
Survivors include his mother and father; his stepfather; his lifetime companion, Wendy Barnes of New Bedford; a son, Hermano Johnson of Fall River; 4 brothers, Francisco Vieira and his wife Yvette, of New Bedford, Aaron Newcomb and Westle Newcomb, both of Harwich, and Paul DePina of Atlanta, Georgia; 3 sisters, Christine Sousa, and her husband Joseph, and Deanne Monteiro, both of New Bedford, and Tammie Vieira of Providence, Rhode Island; his grandmothers, Deolinda Fontes and Stella DePina, both of New Bedford; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was the grandson of the late Hermano DePina and Jose Miguel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Committal Service on Tuesday December 4, 2001 at 11 AM in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday December 3, 2001 from 7-9 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
