Kenneth Max Towson, 75, of Ocilla died Tuesday, October 17, at the Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 20 at Mystic Baptist Church, with Rev. Colburn Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Mystic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Towson was born September 26, 1931 in Irwin County to the late William Henry and Florence Defore Towson. He lived in Irwin County all of his life. Mr. Towson was a former Mechanic for Fitzgerald Ford, Lincoln & Mercury and Tankersley Motor Company. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War Era. He was a member of Mystic Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son: Ken Towson of Atlanta; sisters-in-law: Cornelia R. Towson and Alice Towson, both of Ocilla and Clyde Towson of Tifton; special friend and caregiver: Sammy Battle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
