Quirk – Mary E., J.D., 88, of Springfield, Mass., died on October 14, 2006, at Springhouse in Jamaica Plain, where she spent the last 18 months of her life. A graduate of Northeastern Law School, she practiced law for several years with her late husband, John T. Quirk, and served as Assistant Clerk Magistrate at the Springfield District Court from 1972 to 1988. She leaves her cousin, Patricia Maguire of Springfield; eight children, Paul Quirk of Baltimore, Mary Ellen Wheeler of Fredericksburg, VA, Lucy Pelland of Wilbraham, Peter Quirk of Holyoke, Amy Quirk of San Francisco, Anne Quirk of Belmont, Grace Quirk-Hesford of Roslindale, and Kathleen Quirk of Cambridge; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Pelland of Waltham, Beth Anderson of Grafton, Daniel Pelland of Millbury, Mary Wheeler of Boston, Sarah Wheeler of Brooklyn, NY, Molly and Emma Lehmann of San Francisco, Isabel, Andrew, and Aidan Carey of Belmont, and Shane Hesford of Roslindale; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Quinn Anderson of Grafton.
