Methuen, MA – Edward P. Johnson, 89, died Saturday October 14, 2006 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
Mr. Johnson was born and educated in Milford.
For many years he had been employed by the Raytheon, Corp in Andover as a Millwright before his retirement.
According to his children Edward enjoyed bowling in the Raytheon Bowling League, more importantly was an AVID Boston Red Sox fan, who also followed the Lowell Spinners.
Before her death Edward had for 25 yrs. been married to Edith (Robinson) Johnson, and most recently was the widower of Rose (Glance) Johnson to whom he had been married to for 32 years.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws; Edward R. Johnson and his wife Dale E. of Andover, and Daniel L. Johnson and his wife Nancy A. Gretsky of Plaistow, his sister Sophie Deletti of Hopkington, and a brother Walter Johnson of Medway, 5 grandchildren Cathy, Michael, Christian, Edward I. and Brad, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his son Albert D. Johnson.
Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 P.M.
