Tufankjian-of Duxbury, formerly of Whitman October 11th,Rose(Mazmanian),85, wife of the late Charles G. Tufankjian, Sr.; mother of Charles G. Tufankjian, Jr.and his wife Cheryl of Duxbury, Atty. Allan H. Tufankjian and his wife Betty of Scituate, and Ronald G. Tufankjian and his wife Coralie of Plymouth; grandmother of Gregory and Ellen Tufankjian of Wellesley, David and Evelena Tufankjian ,Rosemary and Edward Flaherty all of Duxbury, Elizabeth-Rose and Adam Tufankjian, both of New York; great-grandmother of Calista, Matthew, Sophia, Michael, Anni, David, Jr. and Charles; sister of Haig and Ara Mazmanian.
She belonged to the Whitman Women's Club, The Chi Kappa's of the Whitman Congregational Church, and Masque and Triangle of Whitman.
She retired as co-founder of Bridgewater Oldsmobile. She and her late husband founded Tufankjian Stables where several award winning thoroughbred race horses were trained and raced throughout the United States.
She enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida and time with her family and friends.
She was a mentor and friend to all she met and she will be dearly missed.
A Memorial service will be held Monday, October 16th at 11:30 A.M. in the Pilgrim Church of Duxbury,404 Washington Street Duxbury ,MA. 02332.
Visiting hours are Sunday October 15th 4-8 in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc. Plymouth Street (RT 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman.
