Edward “Teddy” Francis Travers Jr. 44 of LaPrairie Quebec Canada and formerly of Norwood died October 4 in LaPrairie. He was the husband of Hugette (Lavery) Travers, with who he had been married since 1988.
Born in Norwood on December 4, 1961 the son of Carol (Lamore) Travers of Walpole and the late Edward F. Travers, Mr. Travers was raised in Norwood and had lived in Canada since 1988.
He was a 1980 graduate of Norwood High School. Teddy had worked for the Norwood Public School system until moving to Canada and was employed by the Jewish People’s School and Peretz School in Montreal.
He was an avid golfer and loved animals, especially his dog Sally.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his brother Joe Travers of Walpole and his sister Maureen Sinibaldi of Ft. Worth Texas. He was the brother of the late Robert Travers. He is also survived by his niece Brenna Sinibaldi of Ft. Worth Texas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be held on Saturday October 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery Norwood.
Visiting hours will be on Friday from 3-7 p.m.
