George Jason "J.J./J Rock" Pferrman, 22, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in Phenix City, Alabama. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula. Jimmy Stone will give a eulogy with burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Thomas Gray, Timothy Gray, Bo Berdeaux, Nick Maine, Ronnie Waters and Eddie Joe Tillis. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Daniels, B. J. Daniels, Vinnie Tantarelli, Ricky Spikes, Chris Carpenter, James Lawhorn, Rick McTier, Mike Tillis, J. J. Barlow, Josh Barlow and Joel Mactyre,
Mr. Pferrman was born on April 30, 1984 and was the son of Lisa Georgette Nagles Cook and step-father, Paul Cook, of Columbus. He was a painter. He was preceded in death by his granny, Mary Cook and great-grandparents, Dewey and Lettie Nagles and William L. Wiley.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pferrman is survived by his maternal grandparents, George and Vivian Nagles of Chula; one great grandmother, Ruby Noles of Lenox; one brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Pamela Pferrman of Columbus; one sister, Kayla Pferrman of Auburn, Alabama; three special aunts and their families, Lynn Stone of Tifton, Rhonda Gray of Tifton and Janice Clark of Columbus; special friends, LeeLee Porter, Ashley Wohrman, Shean Wohrman, Amanda Berdeaux, Kelly Alexander and Carly Maine; and many other friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals to help with funeral expenses.
