Laura M. (Reis) Vieira, 70, of New Bedford died Tuesday October 3, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Joseph J. Vieira.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John Reis and Amelia "Mae" (Spencer) Correia, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Carlos J. Vieira of Richmond, VA; a brother, John Reis of New Bedford; a sister, Nadeen Gomes of Boston; a grandson, Carlos Vieira, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Anthony and Violetta Reis.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
