Lorene Moorhead Taylor, age 76, of Banner passed from this life in her recent home in Oxford on Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Mrs. Taylor was born on November 29, 1929 in Water Valley. She was the daughter of Robert Lyles and Clarice Moorhead. She was a long time wife and mother and was a member of Paris Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home and funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 2:00 pm. in Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks. Bro. Jimmy Sockwell and Bro. Larry Wicker will be officiating over the service. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery with Carl Wayne Massey, Keith Massey, Wilson Moorhead, Ed Moorhead, Barry Raley, Marlin Taylor, Dasel Moorhead and Nathan Massey. Honorary pallbearers are: Floyd Moorhead, Grady Taylor, Allen Taylor, Tom Taylor and Tony Raley
Mrs. Taylor is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law: Johnette and David Carwyle of Oxford, Linda and Dave Yarbrough of Oxford, Kristy and Van Thigpen of Middleton, TN and Laura Skinner of Corinth, MS; four sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Angie Taylor of Banner, Jim and Lisa Taylor of Banner, Tim and Julie Camp of Hemando and Randy and Janie Camp of Memphis, TN; one step-son, Wayne Taylor of Selmer, TN : sister, Annett Miller of Paris, MS and two brothers: Edward Earl Moorhead of Bruce, MS and Elbert Moorhead of Rosedale, MS. Mrs. Taylor was "Granny" to 15 grandchildren and 6 great-granchildren.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny R. Taylor of Banner, one daughter, Frances L. Camp of Memphis, TN and one sister, Marie Harrison of Water Valley, MS.
