Obituary

Margaret "Margie" (O'Neill) Kent, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died unexpectedly on Monday October 2, 2006 at her home in Charlestown.

Margie was born in Boston, and grew up in Charlestown, where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1956. For many years, Margie worked at the former Cummings Drug Store on Bunker Hill St., and several years at the former Lori Ann's Donut Shop on Bunker Hill St. She was a former member of the Bunker Hill Parade Committee and former coordinator for "Townie Santa".

Margie is the beloved wife of the late Joseph Kent. She is the devoted mother of Walter C. Landry of Charlestown. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Marie Landry. Beloved daughter of Eleanor (Burns) O'Neill and the late Eugene O'Neill. Margie is the loving twin sister of Mary O'Neill-Green of Charlestown and the devoted sister of Gene O'Neill of Charlestown, Eleanor Collins of Hull, Patricia Meeker of Wilmington, Rita Murphy of Quincy, Robert "Okie" O'Neill of Malden and Ann Marie Harding of Ashland. She is the beloved aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Margie's Funeral will be held on Friday October 6, 2006 from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 9 am. followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church 49 Vine St. Charlestown at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Margie will be on Thursday October 5, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
