Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Anthony P. Aurigemma, age 77, a resident of Tewksbury for 11 years, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
He was the husband of Phyllis (Marino) Aurigemma, with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on September 5th.
Born in Avelino, Italy on October 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Alberico and Loretta (Vardaro) Aurigemma.
Mr. Aurigemma was raised in Revere.
He attended Revere schools and was graduated from Revere High School in 1946.
Mr. Aurigemma later attended Bentley College, where he received his B.A. Degree in Accounting.
In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Mr. Aurigemma served during the Korean War with the 169th Infantry Regiment, 43rd Division.
Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed as an accountant by the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission in Braintree.
Mr. Aurigemma resided in Medford until moving to Tewksbury in 1995.
While living in Medford, he attended of St. Joseph’s Church.
Mr. Aurigemma was a communicant of St. William’s Church of Tewksbury.
According to his family, he was an avid Boston red Sox fan. In addition, he enjoyed listening to music performed by Perry Como and traveling to the beach with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Linda J. Palladino and her husband Walter and Lisa M. Connelly and her husband John all of Tewksbury; one son; Joseph J. Aurigemma of Tewksbury; five grandchildren; Jillian M. and Joseph J. Aurigemma both of Stoneham, Kristin N. and Michelle M. Palladino both of Tewksbury and Sean Anthony Connelly of Tewksbury; one brother; Bruno M. Aurigemma and his wife Jackie of Somerville; also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Aurigemma was the brother of the late Leonard Aurigemma.
Calling hours Tuesday, October 3rd, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Wednesday, October 4th, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Tewksbury High School Girl’s Track Team, 320 Pleasant St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 are requested.
