Madge Decker Taylor, 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 2, 2006 at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Valdosta, Georgia, with the Rev. John Akin officiating.
Mrs. Taylor was born October 5, 1918 in TyTy, GA to the late Wallace B. and Mary Clyde Finney Decker. She had lived in Fitzgerald for the past five years coming from Valdosta. For 17 years she was affiliated with Barbara’s Bridal Boutique in Valdosta. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was an avid fisherman and golfer. She was of the Church of God faith.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by one daughter: Barbara T. Rowan of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Jesse and Kathy Davis and Denise and Don Hoffman, all of Fitzgerald and Maxine and Mike Henderson of Albany; one sister: Faye Sirmans of Valdosta; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
