Teresa “Tess” Gough (Tannian) of Medford passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026. She was 98 years old. Teresa was the beloved wife of the late John “Jackie” Gough. Born in Galway, Ireland, she was the cherished daughter of the late Martin and Margaret (Kelleher) Tannian.
Teresa, or “Tess” as she is affectionately called by her family and friends, immigrated to the United States in 1949, originally settling in Dedham before moving to Medford. Prior to her retirement, Teresa was employed by the Raytheon Corporation as an assembly line worker. After retirement, she began working as a “Nanny” and providing housekeeping services.
Tess was the dear sister of the late Joseph Tannian and his late wife Margaret, the late Maura O' Shaughnessy and her late husband Martin, the late Christine Tannian, the late Martin Tannian and his late wife Mary and the late Thomas Tannian and his surviving wife Mary of North Reading. Tess is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St, Medford, MA, on Tuesday, November 3rd from 4-7PM, and again on Wednesday, November 4th, at 9:30AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, MA at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, 40 Broad St., Boston, MA. 02109.
Services will conclude with burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
