It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark Anthony Price, 67, of Somerville, a quiet, steady man who loved his family deeply. Born in Medford on March 11, 1959, Mark passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the son of Angelina Marie “Dolly” (Ventola) Price and the late John Price.
Mark built his career as a construction project manager, and the work suited him well. Careful and detail-oriented, he took great pride in his job, and it gave him a real sense of purpose. Away from work, he loved sports in all modalities; watching, listening, playing, and coaching. He loved showing off the newest gadgets he could get his hands on. Most importantly, he loved his family.
His children were his pride and joy. He coached their sports teams, loved taking them out for a nice breakfast, and rarely showed up for a visit without Dunkin’ in hand. Mark felt things deeply but didn’t always put them into words. He showed his love instead, through his actions in small, steady ways. Mark was reliable and showed up for those around him, with small grunts and groans along the way.
Mark’s legacy lives on in his family and in the quiet kindnesses of showing up for his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Chrumka) Price; his mother, Dolly; and his children, Gabrielle Price and Zachary Price. He was the dear brother of John “Jack” Price Jr. and his wife, Marilyn; Michael Price and his wife, Marie; and Ann Castucci and her husband, Brian. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Mark the way he showed up for others: bring someone a coffee or take someone you love out to breakfast.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Mark’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St, Medford, on Saturday, November 7th, from 2-5 PM. Services will conclude with a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 5 PM.
