Obituary

Raymond W. Landry
June 9, 1926 – October 27, 2026

NASHUA, NH – Raymond W. “Ray” Landry, 100, of Nashua, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, just a few months after celebrating his 100th birthday. He was the beloved husband of the late Faith Marie (Gilbert) Landry.

Ray was born on June 9, 1926, in Epping, New Hampshire, a son of the late William Napoleon and Leah (Pellerin) Landry. At just seventeen years old, he volunteered for the United States Navy during World War II. He served as Gunners Mate and trainer in an anti-aircraft unit with the Seventh Fleet under General MacArthur and took part in four land operations in the Pacific.

After returning home, Ray studied engineering and built an accomplished career in plastic products manufacturing. He began as a designer and draftsman at Bradley Sun, the plastics division of American Can, in Maynard, MA. During his 25 years with American Can, his creativity and expertise contributed to innovations in plastic molding, including the development and oversight of products used across many industries. He also held a patent for an air conditioning device used in extrusion and injection plastic processes. Ray went on to serve as plant manager for Tube-O-Flex, a division of Warnaco, in Bridgeport, CT; for American Can Co. in Needham, MA; and for American Can’s Coca-Cola production plant in Nashua.

A man with a steadfast work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit, Ray also worked for the United States Postal Service in Nashua. Together with his beloved wife Faith, he owned and operated Landry Antiques. He had a lifelong passion for finance and never stopped learning. Above all, Ray was devoted to his family and his work, and he was a proud veteran and a cherished member of the Nashua community.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Patricia Landry of Ipswich; his grandson, Colin Joseph Stanton of Gloucester; his brother, Richard Landry of Townsend; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves his dear neighbors and good friends, Roland and Marie Fisher of Nashua, whose wonderful care and support meant so much to Ray and Patricia during these recent difficult years. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, William Landry, Pauline Hoar, and Lorraine Cormier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 12 noon in the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, MA. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Please meet directly at the cemetery chapel; there are no other services.
